Supergirl

After suffering through Superman I, II, and III, I am stuck with the spinoff Supergirl before moving on to Superman IV and finishing this miserable series. I have a lot of regrets about this journey through the DC movies, but this movie stands out as the absolute worst.

I’m giving it a 0. There is not a single thing in this film that does not suck. The cast is awful, even Faye Dunaway is unwatchable. The characters are terrible, the special effects are lame, the plot makes no sense, and it’s not even so-bad-it’s-good. It’s just all bad.

The premise is Superman’s cousin goes to Earth to hunt for a missing artifact, then she randomly decides to enroll into a boarding high school where she attends one class in the entire film. This is all to introduce Lois Lane’s little sister as her roommate, who is also terrible. There’s some weird scenes with guys being all into sexual assault, but the movie tries to make it sort of funny? Also, a romantic subplot based on a brainwashed guy who is forced to fall in love with a variety of people. None of this makes sense, and there is no reason you should ever watch this movie.
